This is a great post about decorating for seniors, and incorporating function within form. As you alluded to, our environment has an effect on our emotions and the activities carried out within them. There are so many products available for the home and office which look great, but also serve a purpose. The functional elements you mentioned such as safety equipment is essential. I also like your ideas on decorating for seniors, including your idea of a vacation or beach theme. Thanks!

Thank you for the post. Before someone says 'it's all common sense', the bases for commonsense are prior knowledge, and the odd gentle reminder.
Cater to the needs of the 'client' - and form would as sure as night follows day, follow function.
